DOUSED TERMS OF USE

  • Doused only accepts brand new items.
  • Add items to your dashboard at https://doused.consignr.store
  • Ship your items to us with the mail carrier of your choice; we recommend insuring and requiring signature confirmation of your packages.
  • Add your tracking number to the system after submitting your items.
  • Be sure to include the printed batch ID in every package that you ship; each package is its own batch. Please limit each batch in your dashboard to what you can fit into one shipping box. (Example: If you have a box large enough to fit just 9 pairs of shoes, those items should be in the same batch and you should start a new batch for the next shipment box).
  • Please note that consignment shipments we receive - where items are NOT already in your dashboard and/or do not have a printed batch ID - will lose their place in priority when we process them for intake. Sending goods to us that are unaccounted for places risk on your valued product and it creates bottlenecks in the consignment process.
  • Doused is not liable for any missing shipments that do not include signature confirmation. We also recommend including insurance on all shipments.
  • All items returned back to the seller will include signature confirmation and insurance in the shipping quote.

Terms of Payment

Payout Amount

For each item submitted to Doused for consignment, you will be paid out through ACH. We utilize Checkbook.io and complete directions will be forwarded to you upon your acceptance into our consignment program.  Note that any cleaning, storage, banking or other fees in connection with your item (collectively referred to as “Consignment Fees”) shall be deducted from your Payout Amount upon the sale of the product. Alternatively, if your item is returned to you, all Consignment Fees shall become due and payable upon pick up or Doused's shipment of the item to your return address.

 Cleaning Fee

Any item submitted for consignment may require a cleaning before being placed in our inventory. If it is determined that your item requires a cleaning, a fee of at least fifteen dollars ($15) shall be assessed to you. Shoes that need icing, (from yellowing) may be charged $30 a pair. We also reserve the right to reject shoes that have yellowed too much due to poor storage or excessive exposure to light. 

Storage Fee

You will not be assessed a storage fee for your first 90 days. For each thirty (30) day period after that, Doused will charge you a two dollar ($2) storage fee, per item. The first storage fee shall be assessed on the 91st day in which your item is in Douseds’ inventory. Thereafter, an additional storage fee shall be assessed every thirty (30) days until your item is either sold or returned to you.

Allocation of Inventory:

By consigning with Doused, you are giving us permission to sell and disperse your pairs however we see fit. This means that we may transfer your pairs to another location if that location is doing better at selling or has sold out of that specific style. (i.e., different locations, selling at trade shows, events, etc) The status of your items will be available through your account on our consignment portal. 

Online only status:

After 150 days (5 months) of consignment, your item(s) may be transferred to an offsite location, where it will be stored and your item(s) will be reverted to “online only” status. Your item(s) will still be available on our website but no longer available “in store”. After 180 days (6 months) your items may be withdrawn from the system and prepared for you to pick them up pending any outstanding storage fees, etc. You will be given 30 days notice from the time of the withdrawal to pick up your items. After the 30 days has expired, any items not picked up or shipped back will be considered abandoned and become the property of Doused to dispose of in any manner we see fit.
